When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention stage of your treatment. In this stage retainers are to be worn full time for the first 24 months and during this time our office will monitor your retention phase for approximately two years. After this period you must still continuously wear retainers at night in order to maintain your beautiful smile. Your final orthodontic result depends on your retainers, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far. Remember to remove your retainer before brushing, and brush your retainer before placing it back in your mouth.
